Restoring the Culebrita Lighthouse is a step towards reimagining the recovery of Puerto Rico’s 17 historic lighthouses as a network of recreational and nature conservation posts relevant to present and future generations. The Culebrita Lighthouse Restoration Projects creates a new path of sustainability that marries the preservation of a historical treasure with significantly improving the surrounding ecosystems. This project will follow our three-pronged approach: preserving historical treasures, protecting ecosystems, and promoting sustainable developments. The historical restoration project also seeks to improve surrounding ecosystems and water quality of adjacent shores.
