Thanks to the generous support of the Dorothea Leonhardt Foundation, significant upgrades, including kitchens, bathrooms, rain harvesting systems, LED lighting replacements, and enhancements to solar and water systems, have been made to eight community centers. These upgrades have not only strengthened the infrastructure but also reinforced their capacity to serve their communities effectively. Notably, Casa Amor Fe y Esperanza in Rio Piedras, Caras con Causa in Cataño, Juan Martin in Luquillo, Un Nuevo Amanecer, Marueños, and Corral Viejo in Ponce, as well as Toro Negro and Cialitos in Ciales have benefited from these improvements. As we reflect on these achievements, it’s evident that through collaborative efforts, we’ve taken meaningful strides towards building more resilient communities in the face of adversity. Together, we remain committed to fostering sustainable solutions that prioritize the well-being of both people and nature.
